John S Posted June 27 Share Posted June 27 HI, I have have just bought an Epson et-8550 printer, which i am planning to use to create dtf transfers. There are lots of videos showing what is required to convert and also to fix clogging and printing issues but there are none that give any instructions as to what to do to avoid clogging. Many sites mention using quality inks, film and powder, which is rather subjective. I believe using the printer every single day and printing out blocks of the base colours - 0xff0000, 0x00ff00,0x0000ff and white and black - is what I intend to do. I have read that putting a small amount of head cleaning solution in the print head cradle is another thing I am considering. Giving the printer a gentle shake to mix ink has also been mentioned.
